Beef Fat Fried Potatoes
Yes you heard us correctly here at Grilla Grills, potatoes fried in BEEF FAT! This recipe is easy to follow, extremely cheap to make, and very impressive to serve! So you literally get a 1-2-3 punch with this dish for the knock out. Give this one a shot and ENJOY!
- 3-4 large baking potatoes
- 1/8 cup rendered beef fat
- Kosher salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoon dried parsley
Preheat your smoker to 450 degrees.
Peel the potatoes.
In a medium pot, boil your potatoes, whole, until partially cooked; about 7 minutes.
Remove the potatoes from the water and place in an ice bath until cooled.
Cut the potatoes into medium size cubes.
Place the rendered fat into a cast iron pan and put into the smoker for 3-4 minutes.
Remove the pan from the smoker and add the potatoes, tossing thoroughly to coat.
Season with the salt and return the pan to the smoker for 45 minutes, or until the potatoes cook and become crispy.
Remove from the smoker, sprinkle with the dried parsley and ENJOY!
