Blueberry Gin Smash
“Summertime and the livin’s easy.” This drink is absolutely Sublime on a hot day and it takes no time to make. It is guaranteed to hit the spot with ingredients of garden herbs, fresh fruit, and smooth sipping gin. So kick back, fire up the grill, and make a cocktail; treat-yo-self! Enjoy.
- 2 oz. gin
- 1 oz. blueberry syrup (recipe at grillagrills.com)
- 1 oz. elderflower liqueur (St. Germain is a popular choice)
- 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 3 oz. soda water
- Fresh basil, for garnish
In a mixing glass, combine the gin, liqueur, lemon juice, blueberry syrup, and ice; shake well for at least ten seconds.
Strain the mixture into a Collins glass, filled with fresh ice, and top with soda water.
Garnish with the basil and ENJOY!!
HINT: When you garnish your cocktail, slap the basil leaf between the palms of your hands, to release its full aroma, before you place onto the glass and serve.
