Franklin's BBQ Brisket Dry Rub
Aaron Franklin is the undisputed king of brisket; not only in Texas, but across the entire globe. Franklin’s BBQ has a line out the door, and around the corner, that starts forming at 3 am before they open their doors at 11 am. Despite what you might think, the secret to his success is starts with nothing more than salt and pepper and this recipe will show ya just that.
- 2 cups kosher salt
- 2 cups ground black pepper (16 mesh, if possible)
Mix the ingredients together until fully incorporated. The rub is immediately ready for use, and will store indefinitely.
