Grilla Grills Chimichurri Sauce
Coming at ya from our friends down in Argentina, this sauce is about as versatile as it comes! This recipe uses very simple herbs, olive oil, and vinegar. Chimichurri can be used as a meat marinade, sauce accompaniment, preservative, and the list goes on! So give this one a go and you will NOT be disappointed. ENJOY!
- 1 cup parsley
- 1 cup cilantro
- 1/4 cup oregano
- 1/8 cup red onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeds removed
- Juice of one lime
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup ice
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
Combine all ingredients, except the olive oil, in a blender and pulse several times.
Turn the blender on high and slowly add the olive oil to the herb and spice mixture, until completely emulsified.
Serve immediately or store in a cool place for up to two months.
