Grilled Peach Cocktail Syrup
At Grilla Grills we grill EVERYTHING, even our fruit! This delicious, and refreshing, flavored syrup takes summer to the next level and is great in a cocktail or just a thirst quenching glass of iced tea. It is easy to make and stores for months, so go ahead and treat yourself by trying out this recipe!
- 4 peaches, halved and pit removed
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups granulated sugar
1.) Over medium-high heat place the peaches on your grill, exposed fruit side down, and grill until charred.
2.) In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water; bring to boil, stirring constantly, and remove when the sugar is completely dissolved. (You just made simple syrup.)
3.) Place the grilled peaches in a glass bowl and pour the hot simple syrup over them. Let stand until room temperature, cover with plastic wrap, and let marinate for at least 24 hours in the frig.
4.) After 24 hours, strain the syrup into another container and it is ready for use and/or storage.
