When one thinks of Peru, there is only one cocktail that comes to mind; the Pisco Sour! These delicious liquid treats, made with pisco (an amber colored brandy distilled from grapes ), fresh lemon juice, egg whites, and bitters are literally served all over the country and they always hit the spot. SO, give this recipe a try and prepare to be amazed!
- 2 oz. Pisco
- 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz. simple syrup
- 1 egg white
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
In a cocktail shaker, combine the pisco, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg whites.
“Dry Shake” the ingredients, without ice for ten seconds.
Add ice to the shaker and shake for another ten seconds.
Strain the drink into a glass and finish with the bitters.
