Smoked Beef Chuck Roast
A HUGE shout out to Grilla Grills nation for this amazing recipe! This delicious chuck roast recipe comes from one of our biggest fans and we could not be more proud to feature it! This dish is very easy to put together, amazing to eat, and sure to be a hit around the dinner table. Give it a shot and you will NOT be disappointed. Cheers!
- One 4 pound beef chuck roast (sizes can vary, depending on what is needed)
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Ground Black pepper, to taste
- Grilla Grills beef rub, to taste
- 2 large onions, roughly chopped
- 3 ribs celery, roughly chopped
- 2 carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
Preheat your smoker to 250 degrees.
Let you roast sit out for one hour to come to room temperature.
Apply the oil to the roast and evenly coat on all sides.
Season the roast, generously, with the salt and pepper.
After the salt and pepper, season the roast with the beef rub; apply evenly to all sides.
Placed the chopped vegetables into an iron skillet and place the seasoned roast on top.
Place the roast on the smoker until you have an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Remove the roast and wrap tightly in aluminum foil; return to smoker and reserve the roasted vegetables to be used as a side dish.
Cook until you reach an internal temperature of 200 degrees.
Remove from smoker and let rest for at least 20 minutes.
