Smoked Whole Chicken

This recipe is easy, delicious, and extremely cost effective when feeding your family and friends. You can enjoy this with a wide variety of sides and it goes well with dry white wine, cold beer, or your favorite cocktail. So the next time you want to make a hassle free dinner, this is your go to.   • One whole chicken, 3-5 pounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of Grilla Grills "What Da Cluck" Rub
  • 1 lemon, cut in half
  • 1 bunch fresh thyme


Preheat your smoker to 225 degrees.

Remove the chicken from its packaging, rinse, and pat dry.

Apply the olive oil to the entire outside of the chicken.

Season the chicken generously with the rub; inside the cavity and outside.

Stuff the chicken with the lemon and thyme.

Place the prepared chicken on your smoker until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees and the juices run clear; about 3 hours (start checking after 2 hours).

Let rest for at least 20 minutes.
