Watermelon and Mint Mojito
The folks in Havana might be scratching their heads over this version of their native drink, but here at Grilla Grills we love to tinker around with all sorts of cool things. This unique blend of infused vodka, fresh lime juice, and soda water takes all the work out of the traditional mojito because there is no muddling of fruit. So, the next time you have friends over, break out your homemade infused vodka (recipe at grillagills.com) and blow their summertime sandals right off!
- 2 oz. watermelon infused vodka (recipe at grillagrills.com)
- 1 oz. fresh lime juice
- 1 oz. simple syrup
- 3-4 oz. soda water
- Fresh mint sprig, garnish
- Lime wedge, garnish
In a mixing glass, combine the infused vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup; shake well for at least ten seconds.
Strain the cocktail, over fresh ice, into a Collins glass and top with the soda water.
Garnish with the mint and lime.
NOTE: This is not the traditional method for making a mojito, due to the flavor infusion of the vodka.
